Privacy policy

The purpose of the FineMind app is to write down your most personal toughts. We take privacy and data security very seriously, to make sure nobody else than you will be able to read your notes.

It's always required to enter a pin code or use biometrics to access the data inside the app.

There are two options for storing the diary entries that you write in the app.

• You can choose not to create an account or log in, and only use the app on one phone. This is a perfectly fine way to use the app. Your notes will be stored securely in your phone, but if you change to a new phone, you will not be able to see your diary entries.
• You can choose to create an account, and your notes will be stored in a central database. In this case, the app will use end-to-end-encryption based on your password.

End to end encryption means that it is impossible without your password, even for a database administrator, to read your data. It also means that if you forget your password, noone will be able to access your data anymore.

When you delete something, and you don't see it in the app anymore, it will also be deleted from the database. If you want to delete your account completely, you also can do so in the app, or you can send us an email, and we will delete it for you.

Also, note that this app will never regiser any information about you, other than what you type in the app. We do not collect any usage statistics.
